Rain the night before and overcast skies were not enough to deter twenty of our DR & DR’Z adventure group.
Wet weather gear throughout the weekend was not needed, however prior rain had made red and black soil areas slippery indeed.
Saturdays ride was shortened slightly to avoid hazardous spots. Of course the good news – a weekend of no dust making gravel roads and sandy sections an absolute treat.
Ride captain Steve Daniels did a superb job of offering riders a good mix of open grazing country, state Forrest tracks, creeks and scenic back roads to die for.
Great country hotel hospitality, a good feed, great yarns, a good camp and the boys were ready for the following days shorter Sunday loop.
